About Duskloom

Duskloom sells lamps for rooms that are fine at 2pm and depressing at 11pm. Dorms, rented flats, box bedrooms, the childhood bedroom you moved back into. Rooms you cannot paint, cannot rewire, and cannot afford to furnish properly.

Lighting is the one thing you can change in a room like that for under forty dollars, and it changes more than people expect.

Why there are only three

Three products. Not three hundred.

Checking a product properly takes time. What it actually costs, what it actually does, which warehouse it actually sits in, how long it actually takes to arrive. Three is what we can stand behind right now. More will come, slowly, and each one will have been through the same check.

The fastest way to run a shop like this is to import a supplier's entire catalogue in an afternoon and let the customer find out which items are junk. That shop makes more money in month one. We are not building that one.

Why ours arrive in a week

We will not list a product unless it is already stocked in a warehouse inside the country we are selling it to.

Most lamps in this category ship direct from China. That is three to five weeks, and since the duty exemption on small parcels was removed, a fair number of them now arrive with a customs bill attached. Our three sit in warehouses in New Jersey and California. They go out from there, which is why we can put a date on it instead of a vague promise.

That rule costs us choice. Plenty of products we would like to sell are not stocked here, so we do not sell them.

What we will not do

No countdown timers. No fake stock counters. No invented review scores. No strikethrough price we never actually charged.

We have no reviews yet, and we say so on every product page rather than buying a number. When we have real ones they go up, good and bad.

Who this is

Duskloom is small and new. It opened this year and it is run by one person, which is why the support email reaches an actual human and usually gets answered inside a day.

If something arrives broken, late, or just not what you pictured, email duskloomhelp@gmail.com and it gets sorted. Thirty days, full refund, and for something this size we usually will not ask you to post it back.
